Harps on Skye
May 9th - 15th, August 15th - 21st, September 5th - 11th
The romantic Island of Skye is an enchanting place full of history beauty and quietness. The holiday will be based in a small quality hotel and the music studied will be mainly from Raasay, Skye, the Kintail area and the Hebridean Islands but there will also be the opportunity to play music from the wonderful harp ensemble repertoire and music from other cultures. Each day there will be sightseeing trips included in your holiday - a wonderful chance to experience life on Scotland's West coast and Inner Hebridean Islands. Visits to the Outer Hebridean Isles can also be arranged - a popular chioce for those who are from overseas! This holiday is for harp players with an intermediate or advanced level of playing. You will need to be able to sight read written music.
Highland Harpers

Based in Kintail in the midst of the beautiful mountain scenery of the Kyle of Lochalsh, this holiday is for harp players who wish to learn music of the highlands as well as music from other cultures. There will be oportunities to brush up on your technique and discover new harp pieces to play. Beginners will be advised to be able to read basic music notes from a written paper. You will get the chance to be inspired by the landscape of Kintail in the heart of the Highlands by joining our excursions which are included in the holiday.
