Harps on Skye

The romantic Island of Skye is an enchanting place full of history beauty and quietness. The holiday will be based in a small quality hotel and the music studied will be mainly from Raasay, Skye, the Kintail area and the Hebridean Islands but there will also be the opportunity to play music from the wonderful harp ensemble repertoire and music from other cultures. Each day there will be sightseeing trips included in your holiday - a wonderful chance to experience life on Scotland's West coast and Inner Hebridean Islands. Visits to the Outer Hebridean Isles can also be arranged - a popular chioce for those who are from overseas!

Music from Around the World - All instruments and singers

For all instrumentalists, this holiday will take you on a musical journey and you will play a large selection of music from Scotland, Russia, Spain, France, Germany, Japan..........well,almost everywhere! The music will be suited to your ability and instrument or voice and will be taught as an ensemble. Margaret Knight, one of our tutors will share with you her vast knowledge and repertoire of music which she has collected on her travels. Her enthusiasm and love of the music is infectious! You will stay in a pleasant small hotel, and excursions around Kintail and Skye will be included in the holiday.

Highland Harpers

Based in Kintail in the midst of the beautiful mountain scenery of the Kyle of Lochalsh, this holiday is for harp players who wish to learn music of the highlands as well as music from other cultures. The music is suited to all abilities - beginners to advanced players................you will not feel under or over taxed!( Our tutor will prepare music for your standard of playing prior to the holiday.) There will be oportunities to brush up on your technique and discover new harp pieces to play. You will get the chance to be inspired by the landscape of Kintail in the heart of the Highlands by joining our excursions which are included in the holiday.
